Ujjain
An ancient city situated on the eastern bank of Kshipra River, the divine Ujjain is a major Hindu pilgrimage site that also boasts of being host to the Kumbh Mela. The rich history of Ujjain dates back to the Mauryan era where it has served as an abode to Emperor Ashoka during his rule.
