The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is Mumbai’s primary airport and the second busiest airport in the country, coming in second only to Delhi. The airport lies across suburbs of Santa Cruz, Sahar Village in Andheri, and Vile Parle. The airport is easily accessible with a fleet of BEST and NMMT buses, the suburban railway lines close to the domestic terminal, the Mumbai metro close to the International terminals, and taxis. Mumbai’s most prominent railway station, the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus is about 23 km away from the airport. Staying close to the airport in Mumbai makes sense, as it is located quite centrally in the city.
