Shimla, a hill-station in North East India, is the largest city in the state of Himachal Pradesh besides being its capital. Bordered by Kullu and Mandi in the north, the state of Uttarakhand towards the south-east, and Kinnaur in the east, Shimla manages to bring in hordes of tourists owing to its hilly landscape, colonial architecture and tranquil atmosphere. MTB Himalaya, a mountain bike-racing event, is apparently the biggest of its kind in the subcontinent. The city also has the largest natural ice-skating rink in the entire continent. Apart from being a prominent tourist hotspot, the city carries the tag of being an educational hub with numerous schools, colleges and research institutes. Lying on the south-western stretch of the Himalayas, Shimla is perched almost 2,206 meters above sea-level.Finding resorts in Shimla is not as difficult as it looks. Being one of the most-visited hill-stations in the North East, the best resorts in Shimla are mostly located in the vicinity of its key landmarks. Resorts are typically self-sufficient commercial establishments that cater to most needs of a holiday-traveler, such as providing adequate options for dining/lodging, entertainment, sports and shopping preferably within/around the premises. An array of entertainment/recreational amenities are also likely to be a part of most resorts. One of our properties, Treebo Snow View Resort in New Kufri, is an ideal option for those visiting Shimla. When you’re visiting Shimla, include interesting landmarks/spots such as Jakhoo Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman (with a large statue of the deity), Rashtrapati Niwas that offers guided tours of the previous residence of the British viceroy, Shimla Heritage Museum that provides a decent level of insight into local history, Johnnie’s Wax Museum which houses wax models of popular celebrities, Christ Church which has been majestically built, and Kufri Fun World that provides entertainment for the whole family, as part of your itinerary. Decent dining places include Cafe Simla Times, HPTDC Goofa Ashiana Bar and Restaurant (at The Ridge), Eighteen71 Cookhouse and Bar, 45 Central Perk and Himachali Rasoi.

Good and economical Holiday
“The property was good, comfortable and clean. Approach to the location was also easy. Staff was extremely humble. Tasty food served from the kitchen to dining area or to the room (your preference). Pictures shown on the website were almost same as the condition of the property and rooms were actual“ ly. View of mountains and valley from the rooms were picturesque. Only minus point is that on hills rooms were upto 5 floors downstairs and lift was under maintenance. Overall it was a good experience, had a good time with family and friends.
