What time do the Tibetan Monasteries in Manali open? Is there an entry fee? Are they close to town?

Manali has three monasteries, two of which are located in the centre of town itself. It should not take you more than 2 hours to explore them, but it also depends on how much time you wish to spend in each. The monasteries open daily from 6AM-6PM and do not have an entry fee.
