Named after the Bengali Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore, RT Nagar in North Bangalore was established by Bangalore Development Authority as a tiny layout in the early 1970s. However, given its proximity to Dollars Colony (Sanjaynagar) and Sadashivnagar, RT Nagar witnessed rapid development and is now a prominent commercial hub and home to a number of educational institutes in Bengaluru. The Kempegowda International Airport is 30 km away while the Bangalore City Railway Station is 8 km away from RT Nagar. The development of RT Nagar led to the establishment of a number of 2-star and 3-star hotels that provide decent and comfortable accommodation at rather reasonable rates. In addition to this, there are a number of budget hotels in and around RT Nagar that offer basic rooms. For quality accommodation, book a Treebo hotel in RT Nagar. Treebo offers comfortable rooms and efficient service while going easy on the pocket. Important localities close to RT Nagar include Hebbal, Chickpet, Vijayanagar, Mathikere, Yeshwantpur, Sadashivnagar and Dollar's Colony. Two restaurants that you must eat at are Punjabi Rasoi and Al-Bek (famous for its shawarmas). Tourist destinations close to this locality include ISKCON temple, Hebbal lake, Vidhana Soudha, Bangalore Palace, Lumbini Gardens and JP Park. “It's the second time I stayed in the same hotel. It is nicely located in the heart of the city. The rooms are nice and spacious. The staff is courteous. The breakfast is good and includes fruits as well. Overall really pleasing..“
“Helpful staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, decent breakfast, good Kerala cuisine , accessible place. We stayed for 6 days and the staff were were flexible and helpful at all times. They are prompt to look into any issues too and solve them.“
“Very welcoming staff, great room with a lot of light and a small balcony overlooking a Victorian high school. The choice of breakfast was limited but what was there was good. Unfortunately, the Freebo management head office is very unprepared to help guests. their help line is always busy and e-mail“ s remain unanswered! The local people made up for the lack of care. And the hotel is very well located, at a walking distance from Church Street. I recommend the place without an hesitation.

“I stayed at Treebo Edge, in St. Marks road, Bangalore in August 2018. Very good location with lot of restaurents nearby, commercial street is nearby. Staff was polite and helpful The receptionist Mr. Naveen was very kind. A very good Kerala restaurent called D Cochin attached to this, which served g“ ood food. The breakfast was simple but very good.
“Good location. Spacious rooms. Courteous staff. They also have a restaurant attached. Pleasant stay. Have stayed here a couple of times for my official travel. Will definitely come back again. I recommend!“
“The room was clean, well-furnished and of medium size. The staff were polite and efficient. Breakfast was good and adequate but some more change and variety could be introduced. Likewise, greater variety cold be there in the lunch and dinner menus. For example, Thali is available only during lunch b“ ut not at dinner. Only two vegetables are available in the menu. However, for sea-food lovers, the varieties are abundant. Hair-dryers could be provided in the bathrooms.
