BEST BUDGET HOTELS IN INDORE

The largest city in the state of Madhya Pradesh, Indore also happens to be a prominent commercial hub in the region. Although what stands out in Indore is its striking Holkar dynasty era architecture, the crowded bazaars, the street food and local cuisine, and a good number of hotels tend to drive tourists in large numbers to the city. Indore is that kind of city which grows on you the more you visit. It once used to be a major trading point between Delhi and Deccan. Indore is also home to the country’s third largest stock exchange - The Madhya Pradesh Stock Exchange. Now under the ’smart city’ plan of the Govt. of India, Indore boasts several education institutions including IIT Indore and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.

With a population of over 2 million, Indore has a high literacy rate and continues to attract students and young working individuals. There are various ways to reach Indore such as air (Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Airport), rail (Indore Junction and eight other railway stations), road (NH 3, NH 49 & 49A, NH 52, SH27 & 31). You can use the Indore BRTS or the Indore Magic (auto-rickshaws) to get around the city.

MORE ABOUT INDORE CITY

Travellers in Indore - Indore sees tourists from all over the country and abroad, visiting throughout the year. The city does have its share of tourist spots, historical architecture, crowded marketplaces, mansions and palaces that are now functioning as luxury/heritage hotels, fascinating museums, a large zoo, temples, gardens, and even amusement parks. Taxi services like Uber and state-run/private buses are the best ways to commute to various spots within Indore. The categories of travellers that are most likely to pay multiple visits to Indore include businessmen/corporate travellers/entrepreneurs who are in the city to facilitate business deals, youngsters (large groups/solo/couple) who basically love travelling to new cities, and families who are paying visits to friends/families put up in Indore, or just to bond with each other better. From Indore, neighboring towns such as Omkareshwar, Mandu, and Maheshwar

What Makes Indore Popular - Indore has undeniably grabbed the attention of most tourists for its ancient architecture (which includes mansions, palaces, idols, and everything associated with a former princely state). Tourists can explore the history of Indore in depth by visiting some of its iconic landmarks such as Rajwada and Yeshwant Club. History geeks will absolutely love it. Since it has a large number of education institutions and research centres, students (and youngsters in general) are bound to find Indore highly captivating. Also, due to the presence of a large number of temples, Hindu religious travellers also love visiting Indore. Another interesting aspect to note is that most major landmarks in the city do not charge an entry fee (or at most, something nominal) which makes sightseeing an effortless, inexpensive affair.

While many believe that a trip to Indore can turn out to be expensive, that isn’t entirely true. We suggest you have a look at Treebo’s list of budget hotels in Indore offering comfortable stays at the lowest-possible prices. Spot our properties spread across various junctures in the city such as Malwa Mill, Bhawarkuan, MR 9 Road, Vijay Nagar, Gangwal Bus Stand, and Palasia. Festivals such as Ganesh Chaturthi, Makar Sankranti, Anant Chaudas, Rangapanchami, Ahilya Utsav, and Navratri are some of the prominent festivals celebrated in Indore.

What to do in Indore - As is the case with most historical cities, Indore is a blend of contemporary and classical. Indore has plenty in store for the travel buff within you, in the form of museums, palaces, halls, statues. Significant landmarks in Indore that warrant a visit while in Indore include Lal Bagh Palace (featuring a mix of Indian and western architectural styles), Rajwada (the original royal residence currently under restoration), Central Museum (having a great collection of Holkar-era artifacts), Gandhi Hall (constructed in 1904), and the statues of Sardar Patel, Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, and Tagore. If you love going on a street-shopping spree, head to Chappan Bazaar, Sarafa Bazaar, Kothari Market, or Khajuri Bazaar. You can also club dining/entertainment with shopping by visiting malls in Indore such as Treasure Island Mall, C21 Mall, and Silver Mall. Book your stay at budget hotels in Indore so that you have a larger budget for other things like entertainment, dining out, and shopping.

Terrible Place to stay
“It is a terrible hotel to stay. The bed is infested with termite. You can see hundreds of termite crawling on the bed. Rooms most probably recently been pest controlled so after spending the night me and my son both have congestion in throat. Worst kind of hotel where I stayed in my life. The hotel “ must apologize and refund the entire amount that I have paid to them in advance. Otherwise I would never had stayed there.

Good Hotel with great hospitality
“An excellent budget hotel with necessary amenities. Good location. very courteous staffs, specially Mr.Shambu and Mr.Hemanth and a lady incharge at the restaurant (sorry forgot the name) They were taking care of each and every guest studiously and all our requests were immediately attended with care“ . I am a regular traveler and I found the hotel ticks all the right boxes. Its suitable only for business travelers and not for family as the rooms are too small to have an extra bed.

Very pleasant stay
“I had been there in the month on May with my mother and sister. Not only were the rooms very clean but staff was courteous too. Shambhu made sure we had everything we required. We usually came back late post 11:30 at night but still the room service was prompt and food tasty. The only drawback was t“ hat the room did not have any view. Definitely would recommend Daksh.

Nicely Located Hotel with Pleasant rooms
“We stayed somewhere in the end of August, beginning of September and took 2 rooms with breakfast. The location of the hotel is pretty apt and connected to the highways for Ujjain and Omkareshwar. The prices are decent as well for the amenities. The rooms are nicely decorated and had a nicely working“ AC, TV, Coffee Machine, a cupoboard a safe and hot water. We wish we didn't need to ask for small things like toothbrush-toothpaste, a comb, toilette paper etc. They have a rooftop restaurant that serves great food. We stayed for 3 days and most of the times at at the hotel restaurant itself, including breakfast. The Breakfast was a bit monotonous with few options, but was good nonetheless. The Poha was awesome. Its Indore, what else do you expect? Avoid the Parathas and Tea and Coffee, they are bad. They served Coffee in Styrofoam cups which are known to be cancerous and I can't see the reason why would you do that when the restaurant is half vacant and you have plenty of cutlery. The restaurant staff and their service is excellent. Very humble and polite guys. I wish they could improve a little on the serving times. The check in and check out experience was decent and reception was fast. We wanted to extend our checkout by a few hours but the reception denied sighting the reason as the hotel was fully booked for the next day. Whereas, post that discussion I went online on treebo website and booked a room for another day myself. We only wanted to retain a room for few more hours since our flight was in the evening and my mother in law was not well. At least, they could have frankly asked us to book for another day rather than lying.During the checkout, I went to buy some medicines, while my wife was trying to drag a heavy luggage. The lobby staff and boys totally ignored her, didn't even open the door for her and didn;t even offer to lift/drag the baggage. This turn of attitude post the checkout is surprising.Regardless, the Operations Manager Eesha was very courteous and kept checking on us once in a while. Because of the pleasant rooms, apt location and homely food, we would ofcourse come back here again. The negative experiences we had here and there could be one off and I would highly recommend the hotel.

Business Visit at Indore
“I had to change the room 3 times due to power supply issue. The illumination in the rooms were not appropriate. The bathroom showers/taps were leaking. In one room the lights & set top box burned. In the other room toilet exhaust fan stopped working. The staffs were very polite & helpful. Br“ eakfast is pathetic. Considering Treebo standard, not a great experience.
