Pondicherry has evolved into a bustling tourism spot thanks to its colonial architecture, relaxed regulations on tourists, beautiful beaches, eateries that serve exquisite continental dishes, wonderfully painted houses, and above all friendly locals. The best time to visit the city is between the months of October and February when the temperatures are relatively lower and the weather is less humid. The tidal levels are also low during this season. In general, Pondicherry experiences a tropical wet-and-dry climate. Summers here are marked by high levels of humidity and are not deemed great for sightseeing activities. Pondicherry also boasts a number of ashrams and educational institutions that sometimes give it the tag - ‘hub for research and education’. Pondicherry can accessed by both road and rail. A number of 2 star hotels in Pondicherry provide reasonably good accommodation for tourists. Two star hotels in Pondicherry majorly cater to that category which seeks a little more than just basic facilities. These small-sized hotels are usually managed directly by the proprietor and span across two to four storeys. They generally boast a personalized atmosphere and are situated near economical attractions, major junctions and public transport avenues such as local/intercity bus stations and railway stations. The furnishings and amenities offered are neat but mostly basic. While an in-house restaurant may not be present, guests should be able to spot affordable yet good quality dining options within the vicinity. There could be restrictions applicable on public access beyond a specific time limit. While visiting Pondicherry, you need to include major tourism hotspots such as Rock Beach which is dotted with restaurants and gets crowded in the evenings, Sacred Heart of Jesus Basilica a Catholic church built in the Gothic style of architecture, Immaculate Conception Cathedral a church constructed in the Portuguese architectural style, Pondicherry Museum which was established in 1983, Bharathi Park which features a Roman-styled arch, and Auroville a village that focuses on meditation, as part of your travel list. You should also check out some of Pondicherry’s finest restaurants such as DisDis and Co., Surguru Spot, Kasha Ki Aasha, Cafe des Arts, The Pasta Bar Veneto, and Umami Kitchen to understand how art and dining can go hand-in-hand.

Review for Treebo Trip Prakasam Residency
Average hotel, consider if you are looking for budget options
“Was staying in the hotel for 2 night. Price paid 4300 /night. Which was expensive , but considering it was the season for Pondi, it fared well. Pros : Budget hotel if you are getting accommodation at 2-2.5K, anything more is a loosing bargain. Awesome location, heart of the city. Neatly maintained.“ Lift options is there from ground floor. Well groomed staff and service is very fast. Tea is available round the clock and taste's good. Breakfast is served in the room Cons : No restaurant, Rooms are not ventilated at all. You will not get any sunlight. You have to eat outside or swiggy. Water bottles are charged. Breakfast is served in the room but options are limited. I am not a south Indian, thus hated the food.

Courteous staff and fabulous breakfast!
“We loved the place for its location, the Promenade is 5 minutes away on foot, and all other popular tourist spots are within a km. The rooms were clean, simple and are spacious for three people. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. The roof restaurant has a lovely Mediterranean feel, but “ serves only South India breakfast and is shut the rest of the time. However, there are a number of eateries around, so food really isn't a problem. A good budget place at an ideal location!

Average stay but overpriced at peak time
“I stayed there for 2 days with my friend during pooja holidays. We booked at the last minute hence the price was 2500 which is totally unworthy. Very small room with no ventilation, dint even have a phone inside, breakfast was not good. Its good if you get it for 1000 else there're other places “ better than this.

Rooms are ok
“I have been to many treebo branded properties before but this property was not upto the mark as this brand promised. Bath linen was smelling bad, and all the channels on the DTH were not working, I would suggest frequent audits could improve the situation, as a trust worthy brand I always prefer to“ stay in treebo I hope my next stay would be more comfortable.

Just OK for night stay.
“Treebo trip Prakasam is just an average lodge with airconditioner. Beach is about 1.5km which takes about 40 me n of casual walk. Staff are not well trained to deal with good hospitality, but they are polite and apologetic. We didn't get hot water in the bathroom both days. Small room. Adding an“ extra bed for child there was no place to move. Complimentary Breakfast was provided only in the room, limited and would turn cold. Lacks proper dining facility. Overall it is just an average kind for it's price.

Not value for money
“Poor service and infrastructure is not up to the mark. Breakfast was pathetic. Front office staff did not know the basic information. He was unable to answer our doubts or question. Car parking was also horrible and would not recommend to anyone to book this just after seeing the photos available in“ the website. I would suggest company should verify the authenticity of these before uploading to the site.

Not for aged parents. To expensive with little options
“After paying 33K on the whole. There wasn't a lift nor a room service for tea at this hotel. Totally disappointed. My parents were old and they found it hard to climb the terrace(3rd floor) for breakfast. The milk sachets ran out second day. Breakfast options on one day wasn't available on t“ he second. It is on the main street and so much noise entire night too.

Not worth for money
“I would never go this type of cheap third class hotel by paying a tariff of 4.5k. It was complete cheating by stating it is three star hotel. It's not more than one star hotel. It is one of my worst experience while traveling.“
