The domestic airport, Terminal 1 is one of India's oldest airports situated across the suburbs of Santacruz, Vile Parle and Sahar village in Andheri. Over the years, Andheri has become a melting pot of old and contemporary culture, with malls, shopping districts, temples and heritage properties alike. From the buzzing Lokhandwala shopping district to Versova beach and the ancient, rock-cut caves of Mahakali, Andheri has something to offer for everyone. Hotels near the domestic airport include the highly rated Amber International, in Saki Naka and Hotel Sea side situated alongside Juhu Beach. Hotel Mumbai International and 7 CEPL, located a short distance away also come highly recommended. The Metropolis, in Andheri East and the Olive Inn in Kurla West are conveniently located and provide a good range of amenities. In Andheri you will find a plethora of shopping, dining and wining options. Infiniti Mall, Crystal Point Mall and City Mall offer everything under one roof. Cinemax in Infiniti Mall is a great place to go if you want to catch a movie and need to kill some time. Shopaholics should certainly head to Lokhandwala, where there are streets full of stores stocking everything from trendy ethnic skirts and costume jewellery to lingerie, sports shoes and even furniture and antiques. Andheri has a lot of cool places for youngsters to hang out at, like Pop Tate's, Kaffe Kona and Crepeteria. If nature's more your thing, you can do some bird-watching or go for a walk at the Nana-Nani park at Seven Bungalows or Lokhandwala Garden. A visit to the financial capital of India would be incomplete without a beach visit. Juhu Beach is enticing and a trip along Marine Drive will leave you wanting for more. As the sun sets, head to Versova's Rock Beach at Seven Bungalows for some quiet time and inner reflection. The more high-spirited can end the day with a few drinks and some pulsing trance music at the many nightspots in the area, including Rio - The Met Lounge, WTF and the Sheesha Sky Lounge.
