History of Mother’s Day – <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ever thought about why there is only 1 day in our lives when we celebrate our moms? It\u2019s not always like if you will ask this question from her, she will reply in the same way she does when you ask about her trip. So, let\u2019s celebrate our moms this Mother\u2019s day, but first let\u2019s understand why we celebrate her only 1 day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mother’s Day and the commemoration of motherhood can be traced back to the Ancient Greeks. At their spring festival, they honored the goddess Rhea, known as the Mother of the Gods. Since at least the 16th century, Mothering Sunday has been a part of the Christian calendar in the United Kingdom. According to a survey, Mother’s Day is now celebrated in over 152 countries around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re a good cook, impress your Mom & Dad by inviting them for dinner. Even if you aren’t, you are welcome to surprise them with a meal as long as you don’t burn the food or the house down<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’ve probably spent a significant amount of time in front of the television, so why not do it “with” your mother? Spend the day putting together care packages for organizations in need, a cause close to both of your hearts. Helping others will make you feel warm and comfortable on the inside. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prepare a favorite family recipe at home while Mom does the same in her kitchen, as she presumably taught you how to cook. Even better, enlist the children’s assistance so they can observe Grandma crimping the dough or icing the cake in real-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
