#1 Switch off all electronic gadgets

#2 Plan an easy itinerary
Have a flexible itinerary. Do your research ahead but do not keep it hectic. Plan it so, that you can change it anytime.
#3 Choose a scenic stay
The place where you stay is very important. Make sure it is not just a clean, comfortable motel room. Go for cute bed and breakfasts or budget luxury stays.
#4 Have a filling breakfast
Whatever you do, make sure you have a filling and tasty breakfast. You don’t have to follow a routine when vacationing, but too many late nights might not be a good idea as well!
#5 Go for a nature walks
Go for long, slow nature walks. Whether it is a beach or a hill station, walking around the place is a great way to discover it. It will give you lot of time to contemplate on life too.
#6 Eat light meals, splurge once or twice
Keep your meals light and eat often. If there is a fancy restaurant in the neighbourhood, do try it, but not frequently.
#7 Pack light
Leave out stuff you might not need. Those high heels for occasional wear, the hair dryer, party wear that you might never wear – under pack for a comfortable stay!
#8 Travel solo
When travelling with others, everybody might have their own agenda, and you might end compromising on your vacation, if that makes you irritable, go solo. Spend time with yourself and return back to your world refreshed and rejuvenated!
